General Information

Departure Times:
All day trips 9:00am - 5:00pm approximately. Other trips have a variable timetable depending on bookings and tides.

Payment:
Can be made by cheque or cash. Sorry, NO credit/debit cards.

Bookings:
Please call at Sport and Leisure, North Quay, Padstow in the daytime, or telephone them on (01841) 532639. Alternatively, you can telephone the skipper after 6:00pm on (01726) 851033. Deposit or full payment must be made at time of booking.

Departure Places:
See the map on the homepage for details. It is advisable to (01726) 851033 between 7:30am and 8:30am to check if the trip is on and where to board the Celtic Warrior.

Distance of Trips:
This depends on weather and sea conditions daily, but are generally between three and twelve miles. For example, mackerel fishing is three miles and wreck fishing is twelve miles approximately.

Wreck/Bottom Trip:
Our wreck/bottom fishing trip takes a whole day, leaving at 9:00am and returning at 5:00pm approximately. On this trip you can fish on the bottom, where you can catch a wide variety of fish, such as Cod, Ling, Conger, Pollock, Whiting, Ray, etc. This trip is a long day and we don't recommend it for children under 12 years of age. You need a packed lunch and warm clothes. All the fish you catch are yours to take home. £50 Per Head

Four Hour Bottom Trip:
This trip is a very popular one, although not really suitable for young children. On this trip you fish on the bottom for a large range of fish, for example, Cod, Pollock, Whiting, Ray, etc. Warm clothing is recommended. Any fish you catch are yours to take away. £30 Per Head

Two Hour Mackerel Trip:
This short trip provides plenty of sport and is great fun for all the family. Boat liscened to carry twelve. £15 Per Head

Bass Trip:
We also do, at certain times according to tides, a bass fishing trip. This trip is usually for a private type charter and can be arranged by the skipper.

Wreck/Reef Fishing Trip/Sharking:
This is a eight hour trip where the skipper uses his Decca to locate a wreck. He then drifts or anchors, depending on sea conditions. You can fish with sand eels, rubber eels or mackerel strips. The type of fish caught are Cod, Conger, Pollock, maximum of ten people for the wreck and reef fishing, etc. Shark fishing for Blue Shark and Porbeagle Shark. Shark Trips run from June to the end of September. A maximum of eight people for Shark fishing trips. Wreck/Reef Fishing Trips are Charter Only / Shark Trips are £50 Per Head

Please Note: All protective clothing must be provided by the customer. A deposit is required on all long term bookings. All trips are undertaken at the skipper's discretion (who accepts no liability for cancellations, etc.)
